S3 E1 "A Tale of Two Cities"

Can I just say that I that Elizabeth Mitchell(Juliette) is a fantastic addition to the show this year? She has't yet captured the grace that Michael Emerson (Ben/Henry Gale) has with Henry... but her character is a definite bonus in the Lost World.

I am curently in college, and I had the opportunity to watch the season premiere with about 20-30 other college students in the conference room of our dorm. Being in that large of a group I have the distinct pleasure of hearing what really is liked and not liked by the audience in any given episode. Because of this, my statements might be slightly biased in the regard that I'll mention moments were the audience I was with were especially surprised.

With that said...I agree with others when they said the first five minutes were an excellent "shock" moment for the audience. My immediate reactions to seeing the civilization were 1) Why are they there, 2) How are they so civilized, and 3) Why are they reading Stephen King (okay so this last one might not be as important, but books seem to matter on Lost).

The story line with Jack, at least for me, was rather predictable. Whenever we think we figure something out right away on last... it means that we haven't figured anything out. Hence why Christian Shepard dating Sarah was just not plausible.

One question that keeps running back to me is whether or not Ben and Juliette planned the flood before hand. If they knew so much about Jack then they must have known he wouldn't have given up so easily. Hence also they used the ploy of Ben locking both of them inside to drown so Juliette would gain Jack's trust better. It was also confirmed through the last conversation of the episode.

The side stories with kate and sawyer were both creepy and amusing and it appears that skate might be happening before jate does. The onyl way I can see kate choosing jack is if he decides to stay with the others and therefore she has like a one-night stand with him before she goes back to the fuselage camp.

All in all, the episode was a decent one though and definetely moved the story along. I'll be looking forward to the next few weeks and seeing how they bring this arch back into focus.

Finally. to conclude about my feelings I'll end with my weekly five questions of- Was it just me or:

-Was Ben/Henry especially creepy in tonite's episode?

-Do you think Carl was part of the tail section?

-Do you think that the others are a part of the "Utopian Society" mentioned on the Dharma Iniative video (See S2 E3)

-Are you really confused how the others got all that information about the survivors... but not only that but how quick they were able to get specific info (such as Jack's father's death).

-Did Tom say he was gay?

I purcahsed the official Lost Game online this week and got it in the mail today. I've decided to post some pictures up of the game itself. Underneath each picture is some more information about what exactly you're looking at. Enjoy!

Doc Jensen's Glyph 29.... found in Los Angeles by Tapdawg, UnseenPresence and SamG!

So I arrived at 11766 Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles around 5:40 and turned on my computer and got it set up. I was able to get wireless reception... who knows how and I could connect to yahoo and started chatting with those in a chat group. Around 5:45-5:50 I got out of my car and went to the front of the building. I noticed someone already outside of the building... turned out to be UnseenPresence from the numbers board. I asked him to take a few pics for me of me with ninja's HE glyph.

After having all these pictures taken we just waited around for awhile. I decided that every 15 minutes i would wak around the building as well as update those waiting for me in the chat. After an hour past and nothing was located we started to see things that didn't exist. For instance there was a sing up on a post next to the building that said "LOST: dog" and i thought it might be vincent... it wasn't, it did however become lost on 8/16... ironic. Anywho finally around 8:20ish i had just completed another walk around and check in... and im standing in front of the building and from the corner of my right eye i notice a car with something funny looking on the side. I yelled out "I see it" "The glyphs on that car" and then high-tailed it after the car. It turned a corner and i assumed it was heading into the parking area behind the EW building, so i took a shortcut in front of the building as the car went behind the building. When I got to the otherside of the bilding the car was getting ready to park so i took these pictures in case it continued driving.

So then as he turned around to park the man driving gave me a sign with his finger telling me to hold on for a second. As this occured Unseen starting catching up to where I was and i didn't know what happened to SamG. When the car finally parked, the man got out and put money into the parking meter and then walked into pavillions got coffee and a pastry and then walked out and finally back into the building. When he first got out of his car i asked him "Are you the Doctor Jensen?" and he replied with "No" so then i took pictures of his car:

The final things i did before leaving were:

1. post ninja's glyph on his car and taped it on... so when the guy gets back he will know the truth.

2. I looked at the inside of his car for anything suspicious. and i found something

This manilla envelope says Jeff JensOn on it... either its a misspelling because of the person that sent the folder to him, or he just isn't jeff jensen but had an envelope for him... i dunno

So that's my story of the capturing of glyph 29!

So I figured we needed a central location to be able to come to if we wanted to know who was coming to which distribution of the apollo candy bars... that way we know who to look for when we get there. When I went to Comic Con a few weeks ago, it was difficult to remember who was going to show up because I had only heard people say on the various message boards they would be attending... but trying to search the messages boards for TLEC for one single post is a difficult process. So I've made this on central location where others can find out who is going to which apollo distribution and all that jazz.

So this was in interesting night for all of us... For me personally I drove over 100 miles today, went on 5 major freeways and did the majority of this at 1am in the morning.... yes I am definetely a Dwight. I finally got to the studio at 2am... I had to take my girlfriend back to her house before I could start my expedition... which cost me the coveted prize of being first there... but heck I still have my girlfriend so all is not lost. :^)

See the Ninja, Be the Ninja!

So Comic-Con is over, but obviously the Lost Experience is not! What does that mean for me as well as those of you that are reading this? Well I've noticed that when I post on the boards I use big talk and always have ideas. For Instance, when SAVE JOOP was shut down by The Hanso Foundation, I demanded we wrote emails to The Hanso Foundation and demand explanations... and yet I did nothing to follow-through on my words.

Recently, a lost ninja friend of mine asked those of us not afraid to take a stand against The Hanso Foundation and it's horrbile lies. I've finally had enough and have decided to make my stand at my workplace and school. This is only my first steps among many to get the truth out about the evil Mittlewerk and his horrible presidency at the Hanso Foundation. Luckily for me, my workplace and school are one and the same so I didn't have to take that big of step for starters... but I hope that this small step will spark more in myself as well as in all of you reading this.

I was afraid the Campus Security would catch me so I disguised myself as a Hanso employee... that way if I was caught posting these flyers they would be mad at the hanso foundation... and not me.

As I headed home I stopped at a local gas station to get some refreshments as it was a hot day in LA county today... So i got some Jones' Natural Drinks...

They looks surprising familiar to something else:

They're like mini glyphs... except they don't have codes and aren't as cool as the snapple bottle caps.

This one looks like a sad robot guy... either that or a Blank Tape that is sad. Anyway... when I tried playing him in the tape player he did not giveme any apha-numeric codes... sorry guys!

Comic Con: Saturday Afternoon Day 4 Post 1.

I'm really tired... i only had 4 hours of sleep last night. Because of this i won't be talking to much about thes photos instead I'll just have them on here and give brief descriptions... These aren't in order, I'm sorry about that too... but hey they;re pictures non-the-less.

The white cardboard box in the middle of picture has something special inside. Does anyone know what it is? If you said it has a dharma water bottle inside of it... then you won! They wouldn't let me take the bottle of take a picture with it. so I became a ninja and stealthfully took this picture behind another stand... hence the hanna barbera stuff.

Comic Con: Friday morning, day 3 post 1.

this is more of an update on the puzzle. I'm going around san diego today and not the convention so prolly no updates about lost today, but here's what i've finished so far on the puzzle:

the difficult thing about this puzzle is that there is no complete picture that comes with it so your working in the dark with it. I hope to complete it today so i can flip it over and check out the back of it. I'll let you guys know!

Comic Con: Thursday Night, Day 2 Post 2.

This post is more for those just attending on Saturday, but this post is an outline for all those who want to know how to navigate around the convention when they first get there. The convention center istelf is huge and can be scary to some especially if they have no idea where to go, so I hope to help those of you coming for the first time with this post. Here is a picture of what the convention center looks like from First and Harbor street.

This next picture is to show the length of the convention center on Harbor. According to the official events guide booklet. There is parking underneath the convention center, but it feels up fast so either get there early... or park at the Multi-level parking structure at 8th and harbor (across from Petco Park).

This next picture is of the underground parking structure at the convention center.

The fee to park here is $8.00... I'm unsure of the price of other locations. For Saturday attendees, try to park here around 9:00 or earlier (even though the lost show starts at 10:30)

The building itself is marked in sections about every 100 yards or so. Sections A-F is what the building houses and to register bring your barcode from the online registration and a picture ID. The registration area is in section C.

Right past letter C is a buge set of stairs. If you take these stairs up to the top and then make a left, you'll be at Ballroom 20, where the lost convetion will take place on Saturday.

big stairs... my hamstrings were tight after running up these... but don't worry I didn't trip and get a talking to by a brotha.

Here's the picture of what the hallway next to the room looks like. Ballroom 20 is huge!

They have it in sections for smaller events, but the lost convetion will take all sections of ballroom 20.

According to the people I talked to in charge, the waiting line will start either in front of Ballroom 20 or in front of the outside of the building it's located in.

Comic Con: Thursday Day 2 Post 1

Well I've been able to go to every single vendor in the past two days and today i went into the A-C sections mainly because last night I went through sections C-F. I found a couple more lost products for sale, such as promo photos from season one, but the most amazing find was at a little tiny vendor in a back corner of the place.

This vendor was selling two 1,000 piece puzzles specifically made for lost. Apparently these puzzles are special because once they are completed they have secrets on them about season 3 and i hope about TLE. I bought both of them (15 bucks each) and here are the pictures:

Puzzle labeled #1 of 4. And deals with the hatch. I haven't opened this one yet. (sorry for the flash off the plastic covering)

This one is labeled #2 of 4 and is about the others. I have opened it and Hopefully will complete it soon.

When I began working on this second one I figured out where the clues would be found...
On the backside of the puzzle pieces, there is hidden text that will either be glow in the dark or be scene best underneath a blacklight. Once I finish my puzzle I'll flip it over on the back and figure out what it says. I'll keep you guys posted.

EDIT: i checked the back of one in the dark... they do glow in the dark,.... so i'll try to move it to a dark place when i finish it to show you what is says.

Comic Con: Wednesday Night Post 3

There were several items i purchased tonight relating to lost. Some of these items are really fascinating and relate somewhat with TLE. At the booth that had the official lost playing cards at it... they also had a special 6 pack of cards available dealing with DHARMA (hence the TLE connection) The cards in the packs are identical according to the lady that worked there... however there was a special 7th card in a few of the packs... i decided to be safe and buy two packs and it paid off becuase in the second pack i got the special card which was a varient of the 4th out of 6 cards. I'll post the pictures of each card below as well as a transcript of what the card says:

Cards 1 and 2... card one is readble so no transcript, card 2 says "Welcome. I'm Dr. Marvin Candle, and these are the ORIENTATION FLASH CARDS for Station 3. These flash cards will support the coordinating film prepared for your station. In this packet, we will review the history of the Dharma Initiative, as well as review the simple set of instructions for how you and your partner will fulfill the responsibilities associated with this station.

Card's 3 and 4. Card 3 states "The dharma initiative was created in 1970 as a brainchild of Gerald and Karen DeGroot, two doctoral candidates at the university of Michigan. The DeGroots imagined a large scale communal research compound where scientists could pursue research in Meterology, Psychology, Parapsychology, Zoology, Electormagnetism, and Utopian Social Dynamic *the card is cut here and continues with* Danish industrialist and munitions magnate, Alvar Hanso, whose financial backing made their dream of a multi-purpose social science research facility a reality.

Card 4 states *this is the special card 4* "Hello, I'm Dr. Mark Wickmund (So that's how we spell it folks!). The pearl is a monitoring station where the activities of participants in Dharma initiative projects can be observed and recorded. Your tour of duty will last 3 weeks, and during this time you and your partner will observe a psychological experiment in progress. Your duty is to observe team members at another station on the island. These team members are not aware that they are under surveillance or that they are the subjects of an experiment. Working in 8 hour shifts, you and your partner will record everything you observe in the notebooks we provided. What is the nature of the experiment you might ask? What do the subjects believe they are accomplishingas they struggle to fulfill their tasks? All you need to know is that subjects believe their job is of the utmost importance. Remember, everything that occurs, no matter how minute or seemingly unimportant, must be recorded. Each time a notebook is filled with the fruits of your diligent observation, *words are cut off* container. Simple place the container in the pneumatic tube, and presto, it will be transported directly to us. At the end of your shift, proceed to the Pala Ferry which will...*end of card"

Cards 5 and 6. Both are legible.

Card's 4 (the real one not special) and the casing for the cards. Card 4 reads "You and your partner are currently located in Station 3, or the swan, where you will be for the next 540 days. Station 3 waas originally constructed as a laboratory where scientists could work to understand the unique electromagnetic fluctuations emanating from this sector of the island. Not long after, the experiments began, however, there was an incident, and since that time, the following procedure has been observed. Every 108 minutes, the button must be pushed. From the moment the alarm sounds, you will have 4 minutes to enter the code into the microcomputer processor....*words coffee stained out* induction into the program. When the alarm sounds, either you or your partner must input the code. It is higly recommended that you and your partner take alternating shifts. in this manner, you will stay fresh and alert, but mostl improtant, when the alarm sounds, the code be entered correctly and in a timely fashion. Do not attempt to use the computer for any... *end of the card*

Comic Con : Wednesday Night Day 1 Post 2

Another booth I found was advertisting for Lost Season 2 DVDS not alot of stuff was there but I took pictures of what they had. They were also giving out smaller sized posters of this giant poster pictured bellow. I got two of them... maybe I'll send one over to the ADMIN on lost experience clues blogspot.

Comic-Con Wednesday: Day 1

So today was the preview night for Comic Con in San Diego, and of course I was able to come to it.

The Lost convention will be taking place on Saturday between 10:30 and 12:00 in Ballroom 20 which is located upstairs near section C of the building. Directly following the convention, their will be autograph signing by some of the actors and creators of the show at the ICG booth in the lower section of the convention.

After I checked in I went into the convention center area itself and after a few minutes of being lost (no pun intended) in the enormous room, I finally found some lost merchandise. The Mcfarlane Toys booth has some prototype figurines which will most likely be coming on later this year. I know alot of you have seen the charlie action figure but they also had all of these ones too:
